Keller

Yep, I love him.

Group 2 Picks

Idol was super interesting tonight.  There was the crazy guy, some goofy dancing from the Utah girl, and of course a lot of "bad song choice"s.  Ben and I liked Kris Allen the best.  (But have you ever met a boy with his name spelled like that?)  Also Allison Iraheta and Mishavonna Henson.  Allison seems a little odd, but she sang that Heart song grr-eaat!

Do you ever hear an Idol contestant sing, form an opinion, and then doubt your opinion once the judges speak?  I really liked Mishavonna's version of "Drops of Jupiter," but then when no one else did, I started to waffle.  I am so fickle.  But I'm trying as we speak to vote for her.  Yes, I am voting this week.

And I'm not giving up on Ricky Braddy.  I'm crossing my fingers that he comes back as a wild-card.  Anything can happen this season!

Crummy Things

In our house, we use the words crummy and lame to describe thing we do not like.  Two things that bother me today are:

1.  When there are two sets of white lines painted on the freeway and it's unclear which one to follow.  Scares me quite a bit and basically "drives" me crazy.

2.  When all my favorite tv stations are having commercial breaks at the same time.  You flip between channels and every single one is having commercials.  Granted some commercials are funny, but honestly those are the minority.  (This commercial issue also applies to radio stations.)

In the spirit of balance, here are two things that gave me joy today:

1.  Weather nice enough to send the kids outside.  Teeny break for mom.  Yippee.

2.  A baby who fell asleep on his own.  I held him while I made dinner and sort of swayed back and forth for a while.  After I put him in his carseat to free up my hands, he just fell asleep.  It was miraculous, and wonderful.  Oh, and he's still asleep two hours later.

My Group 1 Faves

I watched American Idol tonight in between Taesya sneaking out of bed and Keller's refusal to sleep in the baby swing.  There were some definite disasters on Idol, but a few people did well. I was most impressed with Ricky Braddy and Danny Gokey.  Two good voices and nice personalities.

I didn't vote, though, maybe later on in the season.

Drawing a Blank

My blog posting speed slowed down; maybe you noticed.  Believe me I have tried and tried to think of what I want to write about, but nothing's comin'.  My thoughts are a bit disorganized lately.  So just know that someday a post will come (little Snow White nod there).  And until then, Happy Valentine's.
