And I thought I'd also throw in an example of how challenging it can be to get a normal/nice photo of my three-year-old son.

Canon's portrait session
I have started trying to take some of our "formal" pictures on my own. I have a long way to go, but I'm practicing. So I spent some time in Murray park taking portraits of Canon. It was a beautiful day there, but only one photo really turned out the way I wanted. So here it is.

I've started to let my kids pick out their clothes for pictures--it captures the "real" them. They have turned out to be the best ever! I've done it for the past couple of years. I love the pictures and the kiddos have a blast. Keep the one of Canon being himself--those are the things you need to remember.

Haha that last picture was so funny! Canon is pretty much one of the coolest kids ever!
That is a talent I really don't have...taking great pictures. Every once in a while one turns out amazing and I'm so surprised.
